Tasting Notes (2)

GeneralPantalon

Tasted on 5/11/2016 by GeneralPantalon

Notes:

Centennial: This balanced bittering and aromatic hop has a decidedly American nature with a uniquely pungent flavor. An intense citrus aroma with pronounced lemon notes also gives off some floral qualities that blend well with IPAs, APAs, and Pale Ales. Centennial is sometimes referenced to as a super charged Cascade without the grapefruit flavors of Cascade.

Notes:

Flaked barley: Grainy taste and significantly increased head retention, creaminess, and body. Caramel Malt 60L Sweet, pronounced caramel — Drum roasted, crystallized malt; improves foam; enhances viscosity; deep golden to red hues Caramel Munich Malt 60L Caramel, roasted, malty — Use in IPAs, Pale Ales, Oktoberfest, and Porters; amber to red hues Roasted Barley Coffee, intense bitter, dry — Provides color and rich, sharp flavor which is characteristic of Stout and some Porters; impacts foam color
