added all DME at 30. 1.065 OG. Steep went over 170 at end. Gravity at 1022 yesterday and roused yeast...1021 today. Decided to add 3/4 cup Jamaican Burnt Sugar to help with flavor but also get yeast kicking. Few days ago added 2 big spoon fulls of krausen from other beer...didn't do much. 2/29 Will bottle 1 1/2 gallons as is. Using 8 oz water and 1.3 oz corn sugar. Bottled with BLACK caps The rest we very lightly toasted 10 oz coconut and ground 10 oz dark chocolate chips to "dry hop". 3/4 bottle as #11 (the plain) OG down to 1018 after several days out in warm but now tastes much stronger and not so smooth and good. Hoping it calms down with age. 3/4 removed coconut from the bucket and squeezed the chocolate to get it mixed in better. Coconut is coming through great but need more chocolate flavor.
