1/2 cup DME to 2 cups water yeast starter made on 1-25-16

Mash 13 lbs of grains - 4.06 gal @ 167 degree strike temp

Sparge with 7.31 gallons at 168 degrees
4.
boil 8.5 gallons in 1/2 barrel for 60 minutes

Failed! gravity was only 1.01 and never fermented. Too much water? Mash seemed OK but too much sparge water? Not sure how I miscalculated
