Tasting Notes (8)

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/18/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

First taste after 5 days forced karbonation on keg. Akkaipa is now much more bitter. Less malttaste, hoptaste a bit komplex, but not as fruity that I want it to be. Tasted from the bottom of the keg, so a lot of yeast(?) and turb. Will add gelantine to make it clearer. A good taste though... long pleasant aftertaste...

Notes:

FG (I think) at 1010 after one week fermentation. Will keg it in about 3 days if gravity still is 1010.

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/6/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Dryhopped today becuse fermentation almost over, gravity at about 1016. Changed to 32 gr Cacade and 50 gr Perle. This might be going too fast...

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/6/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Fermentation still going, about 6-8 plops pr minute. Hopefully I will end up with FG at under 1010...

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/5/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Fermentation as high as 24,3 at its highest. Will it make a difference? After 2 days, fermentation has slowed down. Will dryhop when gravity is at around 1015.

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/4/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Ended with 23 litres for fermentation, about 3 litres of turb was added to a rest fermentation kettle, with about 3 litres of Alexanders first Imperial. Turb is after 4 hours about 4,5 litres high. Hopefully it will go down to under 4 litres after fermentation.

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/4/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Fermenting has begun after 12 hours. High temperature at 23,4 C. Should have started lower? Smells good hops in the bathroom.

Akkamannen

Tasted on 1/3/2016 by Akkamannen

Notes:

Mashing at 64 C. OG at 1065. Doesnt smell fruity, just like my first try. Maybe dryhop with other hops?
