Seudo Mashed Out with 190 degree fly sparge water

Special Instructions

1.
Brought 4.6 gals to 158 degrees F for mash in

Mashed in, Alex stirred constantly. Temperature settles at 146 degrees F (2 degrees lower than was shot for). Mashed for 1 hour.
3.
With 30 mins left of mash, heated 5 gallons sparge water to 109ish degrees F for fly sparking (first time).
4.
After 1 hour, stirred grain bed slightly and began to vorlaf approximately 1 gallon of first runnings.
5.
Began fly sparge, watching that water stayed 1-2 inches above grain bed.
6.
Began heating wort in brew kettle after about 1 gallon was present.
7.
Scooped thick protein head off the pre boil until hop additions.
