Notes:
Super dark beer, 1cm tan head that dissipated fairly quickly, though it leaves a lingering ring around the edges with some fsirly good sized bubbles. Light aromas of coffee. Tastes of roasted coffee with subtle notes of dark chocolate. Slightly sweet, lingering finish. I wanted to add cocoa nibs to this to give a little more pronounced chocolate/bitter taste, but kept forgetting to pick up some vodka. With a few tweaks, this beer could be good for the late fall/early winter season.
Notes:
Gravity sample tasted great - lots of coffee with hints of chocolate. Super dark, like used motor oil. Could not see the hydrometer in the test jar! Can't wait for this to carbonate. Came in at only 3.5% ABV, yeast did not attenuate enough.
