Special Instructions

  1. Strike grains with 5 gal of water at 166 °F
  2. Mash at 155 °F for 60 min
  3. Vorlauf and lauter 3.5 gal in your first runnings
  4. Add 3 gal of sparge water at 168 °F
  5. Vorlauf and lauter 3 gal in your second runnings
  6. Bring wort to a boil and boil for 60 minutes
  7. Add 5 tsp of yeast nutrient at 15 minutes left in boil
  8. Add 1 Whirfloc tablet at 7.5 minutes left in boil
  9. After boil chill wort to 68 °F then pitch yeast starter
  10. Ferment between 65 and 68 °F for 1 week
  11. Then rack beer to secondary fermenter for 10 days
  12. Add the dry hops with 7 days left in secondary fermentation
