Special Instructions

1.
Mash 150 for 75 min: Heat 9 gallons of water to 160 deg. Add 4.04 gallons of water to the tun. Let sit for 75 minutes. Vorlauf. Drain (should yield 2.67 gal.)

Batch sparge 168 to 170: Heat remaining water to 170. Add 4.89 gal. water to tun. Wait 10 minutes. Vorlauf. Drain.
3.
75 minute boil: Run-off volume should be 7.45 gallon. Bring to a boil.
4.
Set timer for 60 minutes. Add the first hops.
5.
When timer goes off, add cooling coil, hops and Irish moss. Set timer for 15 minutes.
6.
Cool, add to carboy and top up to 5.5 gallons.
