Gravity Estimates

Based on boiling {{CalculateBoilVolumeDisplay}} gallonsliters at {{CalculatePreBoilGravityDisplay}} for {{CalculateBoilTimeDisplay}} minutes, this will decrease your wort by {{CalculateBoilLoss}} gallonsliters, bringing your after boil OG to {{CalculateFinalGravityFromPreBoilGravity}}.

You were planning on an OG of {{RecipeSummary.Og}} so you are right on track. Nice job! You wanted an OG of {{RecipeSummary.Og}}. It looks like it will be over. You wanted an OG of {{RecipeSummary.Og}}. It looks like it will be under.

Tasting Notes (1)

BeeBrew

Tasted on 1/11/2015 by BeeBrew

Notes:

Beer was clear, compact yeast layer at bottom, light yellow-gold, weak head. This was a partially filled bottle, last bit in the bucket. Pronounced citrus aroma upon pouring. Simcoe hop flavors dominate, pine-herbal, some citrus. Only slight malty notes. Hop bitterness lingers. Very light mouth feel, a very light-bodied beer. A good light beer showcasing Simcoe hop characteristics.

Comments

  • BeeBrew

Brewed this pale ale with spring water that was too alkaline. Beer has some harsh notes.
